I’m being told I need to register for a class. What is this class?
Q) I have collected unemployment before and need to again. I filled out everything online and im waiting for an answer. Im being told by several people that there is a class i need to register for? what is this class?
A) It is possible that the “class” being referred to is a requirement to participate in reemployment services or job training programs in order to continue receiving unemployment benefits. This can vary by state, but some states require unemployment claimants to participate in job search and career development programs as a condition of eligibility.
I recommend checking with your state’s unemployment office to see if there are any specific requirements or programs you need to participate in to maintain eligibility for benefits. You can usually find this information on the state’s unemployment website or by calling their office.
Due to the fact the each state administrates their unemployment benefit program differently, I suggest that you call or visit your local unemployment office and speak with a counselor regarding what class you need to take. It may be a class to help you prepare your resume, or some other class. Please call or visit your local unemployment office and request information on the specific class you need to take in order to get your unemployment benefits.
