I have been locked out of my unemployment benefit after initially receiving a claimant ID

Q) Please reach me. I have been locked out of my unemployment benefit after initially receiving a claimant ID last week and I have a pin number too. An email from DOE said they needed further proof of identification but gave me now way to do so. I received No link or information of HOW or WHERE to send WHAT is needed. My identify was stolen several years ago and someone tried to file unemployment fraudulently. Now that I am truly unemployed and need help, I am being blocked! Please help!!! THANK YOU!

A) I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble accessing your unemployment benefits. I understand your frustration. It is important to verify your identity to prevent fraud, but it is also important to make sure that you are able to access your benefits when you need them. I have looked into this issue and found the following information that may be helpful.

First, I recommend contacting your state’s Department of Labor or Unemployment Office directly to inquire about the specific proof of identification they need from you and how you can provide it. You can usually find contact information for your state’s unemployment office on their website or by searching online.

When you speak with someone at the unemployment office, be sure to explain your situation and any issues with identity theft that you may have had in the past. They should be able to provide you with instructions on how to verify your identity and unlock your account.

If you are unable to reach the unemployment office via phone or email, you may want to try reaching out to your local state representative or senator for assistance. They may be able to help you navigate the system and get your benefits reinstated.

I hope this information helps, and I wish you the best of luck in resolving your issue.
