I’m not able to get a hold of anybody on the phone number with 9000 the last four digits. I’ve tried for the last week and a half when I call the Unemployment locations that are listed on the web. I think it’s also cow works or something although I just now called again and I guess the lady hung up I let her know I don’t know what I’m doing, but I need to be able to change that I’m still employed because I’m not I’m unemployed and I needed help with the app I need to put in how many job searches I have Is there anywhere or anybody that I’m supposed to be calling for assistant with that? What am I supposed to be doing? I really would appreciate some sort of assistance here in Colorado moving forward.
I understand your frustration with not being able to get through to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE). Here are some suggestions to help you get the assistance you need:
Try calling at different times: The CDLE phone lines may be busy during peak hours. Try calling early in the morning or late in the afternoon when there may be fewer callers.
Use the online resources: The CDLE website has a lot of helpful information and resources, including FAQs, how-to guides, and a contact form. You can also file your claim online through the MyUI+ portal.
Visit a local workforce center: Workforce centers can provide assistance with unemployment claims and job search activities. You can find a local workforce center by visiting the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment website.
Reach out to your local elected officials: Your state representatives and senators may be able to help you get in touch with the CDLE or provide other assistance.
Here are some additional tips for navigating the unemployment process in Colorado:
Be patient. The CDLE is currently experiencing high call volumes and processing times may be longer than usual.
Be prepared to provide documentation to support your claim, such as your Social Security number, driver’s license, and proof of income.
Be persistent. Keep trying to reach out to the CDLE until you get the help you need.
