I’ve been trying to apply for unemployment benefits since 4/28 and have not been able to do so. I am being told that my “account” is on hold due to not completing the ID.me process even though I did complete it and have proof and have faxed that proof to NCDES (per their request). They have also asked me to fax copies of my DL and SS card and I did. Then they asked for proof of address so I faxed that. It is very hard to get through on the phone to talk to anyone but when I do I get told something else every time. I have been told that my issue has been escalated and yet 2 months later I still cant even begin to apply for unemployment benefits. Now I’m being told that my account is under investigation! For what I ask. The agent said that she cant tell me. So no one can tell me anything and no one can resolve the issue. I am beyond angry and frustrated and feeling pretty hopeless.
I am locked out of my account if you could please help me unlock my account I’d greatly appreciate it.
