I filed April 19th and still have not been paid. But my unemployment has been approved
Frustrated
The CARES Act was legislated since March 2020 and I am learning from my friend in Lexington, KY that as of today he has still not received any payments from the unemployment assistance (the state and Federal assistance payments). He lives with his aunt and a 3-year old niece. He and his aunt are furloughed since March 2020. I feel this is very reckless from the payment office and they are now quite destitute.
Can anyone please help and advise what more they must do to receive the payments? Is it true that the payments can be held back for open IRS tax payments? Please help quickly.
