Tell Us Your Experience At Your Local Unemployment Office

What a experience? They don’t exist. I was laid off early April 9th & filed immediately. I received notification on 5/20, a month later that my application had been received & would be began processing. It’s now mid June & I’ve not received any other notification. I’ve emailed over 20 times, I’ve called 5-10 a day since April the 10th, I’ve also gone to the physical office 3 times-as they are listed as “open” & no one appeared as I banged on the door but an elderly security guard who stated there were ppl in the offices working, but they were not seeing/ or responding to citizens. This is a horrible & telling way of how the state of Georgia views the tax payers of this state. It almost seems like grounds for a liable suit. I will be evicted soon. The mayor, governor & the Secretary of State are not acknowledging this, but instead are promoting an organized smoothly running system & it’s a blatant lie. If this persist, police protest, covid outbreaks will be the very least of this city’s problems.
