Q) I’M IN NEED OF A STATEMENT SAYING THAT I AM NOT RECEIVING UNEMPLOYMENT, IS THAT POSSIBLE PLEASE. THE HOUSING AUTHORITY IS ASKING FOR THIS TO BE VERIFIED.

A) Please call or visit your local unemployment office and speak with a counselor regrading your need for this document. They may be able to customize a letter for you. In some states you should also be able to log on to your unemployment benefit account and print out a statemented showing that you are no longer receiving payments as your unemployment benefits has been exhausted. You should have also received a letter from your unemployment office notifying you of the date your unemployment benefits would expire.
