Unable to get in touch with ANYBODY at the TN Department of Unemployment. Held on the line for “several” minutes before a voice indicated I would have to call back later!!

A) I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble reaching the TN Department of Unemployment. I know how frustrating it can be when you need help and can’t get through to anyone.

I did some research and found some information that might be useful for you. According to the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, you can track your unemployment claim online by logging into your account at Jobs4TN.gov. You can also check the status of your claim, certify weekly, request a replacement card, report fraud, and more on their website

If you prefer to speak to someone on the phone, you can call the Help Desk at (844) 224-5818 (Option 1) for assistance with your unemployment claim or for questions about your unemployment benefits. The Help Desk is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Central time)

You can also submit a ticket to the Help Desk online by clicking here. You will need to provide some information about yourself and your claim, such as your name, phone number, last four digits of your Social Security number, date of birth, mailing address, last place of work, last date of work, and last week you certified on Jobs4TN.gov. You can also attach any documents that might be relevant to your issue

Another option is to use the live chat feature on the TN.gov/workforce or Jobs4TN.gov websites. You can find a “Help” bubble in the right corner of the webpages that will allow you to access the Department’s online chat Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Central time)

If you have an account at Jobs4TN.gov, you can also send an email to the Message Center on your account and ask questions about your unemployment benefits

Finally, you can also visit or contact an American Job Center near you for help with your unemployment claim. You can find a list of locations and contact information on the Department’s website here.

I hope this information helps you get in touch with the TN Department of Unemployment and resolve your issue. I wish you all the best in your job search and future endeavors.
