I currently have a job at BK but I feel like they are trying to make me quit purposefully. I need to know what to do. Here is a current situation for example: Saturday March 29 I didn’t have a ride to work so I called in to let manager on duty know. I called Sunday to see when I worked and found out I wasn’t scheduled to work for the week. When I went to pick up check Monday I asked head manager why I wasn’t on schedule and she said because I was a no show. I explained that I called in and told them I had a situation. She continued to tell me I could not work as a consequence. The manager that answered my call on Saturday stepped in on conversation and said I never called. Instead of arguing I left. My wife and I decided to call General manager after I left from getting my check. General manager said she would handle it and I should be working. It is now Wednesday and I’m still out of work. Being treated unfairly as an employee and don’t want to be forced to quit. Can someone please help me with this situation? What should I do?
I was injured on my last job. Due to many factors, I ended up resigning. After surgery and therapy, I am finding that I am still having problems obtaining employment. I landed a great job through a temp svc and was let go in 2 days due to the past injury. Is it possible that I would be eligible for unemployment even though I resigned?
