For the past 2 and a half years, I have been a remote employee of Novium LTD based in Houston TX. I was just furloughed and advised to seek unemployment. Do I file with Idaho or with Texas?

A) You should file for unemployment in Texas.

Even though you were a remote employee, your employer is based in Texas. This means that the unemployment insurance taxes they paid were to the Texas Workforce Commission. As a result, you will need to file your unemployment claim in Texas.
