To receive unemployment benefits, you need to file your unemployment benefits claim in the state where you worked. You will need to contact contact your state’s unemployment insurance program as soon as possible after becoming unemployed. In most states you can file your claim online without having to visit your local unemployment office. When you file a claim, you will be asked information, such as your addresses and employment history. It is very important that you provide accurate information in order to not cause delay in the processing of your claim.
I was verbally threatened with bodily harm at my work place. I have worked there for almost 13 years. I know feel a tremendous amount of anxiety from it and feel like I cannot go back to work there. My boss does not to seem like he cares much, so that adds to the anxiety. What would I have to do to collect unemployment? I am using my vacation time right now. I am searching for employment. But so far I have not been offered any positions.
