I was laid off 6/2023 and successfully files a claim. I had received 21 of the possible 26 weeks and then I started a new job 11/6/2023. I worked at the new job for 2 months when the clients funding was lost and the position was elimnated. I still have $4,150 remaining on the previous claim (5 weeks in NJ). I see on the internet that I can submit for a brand new 26 week claim for 2024 but I was wondering if I need to first complete receiving the remaining 5 weeks on the previous claim before i can open a new claim. OR do I just proceed to file a new claim even though the last one still shows a remaining balance. Please advise so I know how to proceed.
We filed for unemployment, had issues with ID.me going through it took longer than the 14 days and we got a inbox that we were disqualified even though we completed the process. What do we do now do we reopen the claim? I really need this money to pay my mortgage its been over a month.
