I was never told why I’m not getting a check or anything I work for 9 months and my last job and I was more than able to draw KY unemployment so where is my check checks

A) There are a few reasons why you might not have received your unemployment check yet. Here are a few possibilities:

  • Your claim is still pending. It can take a few weeks for the Kentucky Office of Unemployment Insurance (OUI) to process your claim. If your claim is still pending, you will not receive a check yet.
  • You did not meet the eligibility requirements. To be eligible for unemployment benefits, you must have earned enough money in wages to establish a valid claim. You must also be unemployed through no fault of your own. If you did not meet the eligibility requirements, you will not receive a check.
  • There was a problem with your claim. There are a few reasons why there might be a problem with your claim. For example, you may have made a mistake on your application, or your employer may have disputed your claim. If there is a problem with your claim, you will not receive a check until the problem is resolved.

If you have not received your unemployment check yet, you can check the status of your claim online or by calling the OUI. You can also request a check by mail by calling the OUI or by submitting a request online.

Here are the steps on how to request a check by mail:

  1. Go to the OUI website: https://uiclaimsportal.ky.gov/s/ and log in to your account.
  2. Click on the “Contact Us” tab.
  3. Select the “Request a Check” option.
  4. Follow the instructions to complete the request form.

You should receive your check within 2 to 5 business days after you submit the request.

If you have any questions about your unemployment benefits, you can contact the OUI at 1-800-648-6057.
