What is the best way to get help signing into an old EDD online account?I tried to reset my password, but it wants my last unemployment amount received.

That was 4 years ago and BOA can’t give me any info because EDD don’t deal with them anymore. I tried UI online and they want my 3 digit number from the back of my card. I no longer have my card, since the BOA accounts were all closed May 15, 2024.
I try to call but their call volumes are always full.
I need to apply for temporary disability.

A) Unfortunately, I cannot directly help you sign into your old EDD online account due to privacy and security concerns. However, I can guide you through the steps and provide resources to assist you in the process:

  1. Gather Information: Gather as much information as you can about your old EDD account, including:
    • Your full name
    • Social Security number
    • Date of birth
    • Last known mailing address
    • Any previous claim numbers or benefit amounts you remember
  2. Contact EDD Directly: EDD is the primary source for assistance with accessing your account. Here are the ways you can contact them:
    • Phone: Call the EDD toll-free number at 1-888-465-6687. Be prepared to wait in line, as call volumes can be high.
    • Online Chat: Visit the EDD website and look for the online chat option. You may be able to speak with a representative through chat.
    • In-Person: If possible, visit an EDD field office in your area. You can find their locations on the EDD website.
  3. Provide Necessary Information: When you contact EDD, be prepared to provide the information you gathered in step 1. They may ask you additional questions to verify your identity.
  4. Follow EDD’s Instructions: EDD will guide you through the process of resetting your password or regaining access to your account. Follow their instructions carefully and provide any requested information.
  5. Alternative Options: If you are unable to access your old EDD account, you may need to create a new account. You can find information on how to do this on the EDD website.

Additional Tips:

  • Be patient and persistent. It may take time to resolve the issue.
  • Keep detailed records of all your interactions with EDD, including dates, times, and the names of any representatives you speak with.
  • If you are unable to resolve the issue through EDD, you may want to seek assistance from a legal or financial professional.

I hope this information helps!
