Your Experience: This is regarding my Husband Dwayne P………… He filed an unemployment claim on October 30th. He has yet to receive his benefits. He keeps trying to call Louisiana workforce, and the local workforce office. He cannot reach anyone. He keeps getting the message the call volume is to high and to call later and the phone disconnects. He has tried going to the local office and they keep telling him to call the number he keeps getting disconnected on. When he checks the status of his claim online,it keeps showing that there are “active issues.” He cannot get a hold of anyone to find out what these issues are. He has gone to the Houma office twice. He is owed 4 weeks of benefits. We need to know what is going on. We need to be able to talk to someone, but seem to be unable to do so. Do we need to get an attorney? How do we get a hold of an actual person to discuss this situation? Our home number is 985-***-7**8.
